Car Insurance Saab (Car Insurance). Motion sensor on BMW, Mercedes, Lexus?Motion sensor on BMW, Mercedes, Lexus? Hi I'm in high school & will be either getting a Lexus IS, BMW 3 Series, or Mercedes C Class very soon. In my town, it is very notorious to get your car saran wrapped & egged. That has already happened to some of my older friends' cars & their alarm didn't go off on their car. So I don't really want that to my car. Is there anyway I can get a motion sensor in one of these cars, factory if possible. If it can't be factory, I at least want it to be linked with the factory alarm. What can I do? None of those cars have that as part of their factory alarm, nor can it be linked to the factory alarm. That's an aftermarket system, all the way. No factory alarm system on any of those vehicles include a proximity or motion detector and no, it is not a factory option. Lexus' are like a Liberian of the car world and almost certainly be egged. BMWs are for business people and will end up egged as well. Mercedes have been perfecting gizmos and gadgets for awhile and they are better. Auto parts : Battery Terminal Boot Acura 1995 . Have a 97 dodge neon and I am pimping the interior the next step was to in stall red lights to place inside the air ducts to make it look all cool. So I had them in place in the air ducts. Each light has a postive wire and negative wire. I took all the negatives and tied them together and I also did the same with the positives. Then I wired the negatives to the negative terminal on the battery. Then took the positives to a switch. The switch is by the steering wheel its function was origanaly to turn the interior gauge lamps on and head lights and side marker lights on. One pull turns on interior gauge lights if you pull it out farther once more it turns on head lights. I hooked the positives I wrapped together to the wired that goes hot when I pull the switch once. Everything was working properly until I touched the wrapped positives and negatives from the lights together. Then BOOM POW CRACK SMOKE PUFF. All the gauge light cease to work including the new red lights. Now I checked every fuse they are all fine and I checked all the the gauge lights by putting power directly to them and they all work fine even the red lights. So I'm thinking its the switch that went out. What do you think? If you are an electritian hit me up on my email warded38@gmail.com. ill send you pics of the switch and whatever you need. car insurance. Auto parts : Bed Mat Dodge 2005. Bed Rail Cap Eagle 2006. Saab . How to Get the Air Out of a Volkswagon Beetle Cooling SystemOccasionally, a Volkswagen Beetle may overheat. If this is a common occurrence, it may mean that the car's cooling system needs to be refilled. However, you can't refill the cooling system by just pouring in new coolant, as this will trap air bubbles in the system. You need to get the air out of a Volkswagen Beetle's cooling system to stop the engine from overheating and successfully refill the coolant reservoirs. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Vacuum assist tool (such as Johnson AirLift Coolant Filling Kit) Air compressor 1 gallon of new coolant Bucket 2 1-gallon empty water jugs Petroleum jelly Step by Step : 1 Pour 1 gallon of coolant into the bucket. Mix with 1 gallon of clean water. Empty the mixture of coolant and water into the empty water jugs. 2 Plug the air compressor into a power source. Connect one end of the vacuum assist tool to the air compressor. 3 Rub petroleum jelly on the cone-shaped plug of the vacuum assist tool. Insert the coated plug into the Volkswagen Beetle's coolant reservoir. The petroleum jelly helps seal the edges of the plug to prevent any air from escaping or entering the reservoir. 4 Turn on the compressor and allow the vacuum assist tool to suction the coolant system. Watch the vacuum assist tool's gauge to ensure that the pressure remains at 2 atmospheres. This will get any trapped air out of the Volkswagen Beetle's cooling system. 5 Insert the filter end of the vacuum assist tool into the first jug of water and coolant. Open the vacuum plug to allow the coolant mixture to pour into the reservoir. When the jug is empty, restore the vacuum plug and insert the filter end of the tool into the second jug. Allow this jug to empty into the reservoir, too. The cooling system now has a fresh mixture of coolant without any trapped air bubbles. ResourcesBuy a AirLift Coolant Filling Kit on Amazon
Saab . How to Purge Air from an Auto's Cooling SystemIf you have air bubbles in your auto's cooling system, you will notice a decrease in performance in both the temperature controls inside the cabin of the car and in the cooling of the engine, which may lead to overheating. You may also notice a bubbling sound coming from your air system. When it comes to trapping air, Nissans are some of the worst offenders. The safest way to purge air from your car's cooling system is to flush the system. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Radiator fill funnel kit Rag Distilled water Coolant Step by Step : 1 Purchase a radiator fill funnel kit. The funnel kit will allow you to safely fill your radiator without spills on the engine. 2 Locate the radiator fill port. In most vehicles, this port is located toward the front of the engine. It will be covered by a large cap that is either black or silver. The cap will likely have a sticker on top with a warning not to remove it while it is hot. If you need help finding the port, look in your owner's manual. There should be a detailed diagram of your engine. 3 Place the funnel in the radiator fill port. Use a rag to open the port. If you have had the car on, the cap will be hot. 4 Fill the funnel with a 50/50 mix of water and coolant. Coolant can be purchased in the auto department of stores like Wal-Mart or in auto stores. Use distilled water. Well water or tap water can contain chemicals that will damage your system. 5 Let an entire funnel of the mixture run through the system. Liquid is heavier than air, so this will force the air pockets out of the system. 6 Watch the funnel. When you first put the water and coolant mixture in, air bubbles will come up into the funnel as the mixture finds air pockets inside. Once the air pockets are gone, the air bubbles should stop. 7 Turn the car on and put the defroster on high. When the defroster starts blowing out hot air, the water and coolant mixture has spread through the core of your cooling system. Armed with your Specifications Record containing the information about your vehicle, look up your vehicle by make and model under the proper year on the spec sheet at the store. For my first car, Tweety Bird, I looked under 1967, then under Ford, then under Mustang, then under "200 cu. in. 6 Cyl. Eng. (1 bbl.)" — which means that Tweety had an engine displacement of 200 cubic inches, a 6-cylinder engine, and a single-barrel carburetor. . Chapter 12: Keeping Your Electrical System in Tune 27 2.
